Whether you have been in individual counseling before or this is your first time, my goal is to deeply support you in this process, while also challenging you at the same time to transform stuck patterns and behaviors.
During your first couple of appointments, we will focus on your history and setting goals. You will complete intake paperwork prior to your arrival and we will discuss the reasons you have sought therapy at this time, and the primary goals and expectations you have for this process along with any questions you may have about what to expect and how I work.
I have been a therapist for over 25 years and have an extensive background including my education, specialized trainings and diverse experience working with clients with various histories and multiple therapeutic issues and goals. My work is eclectic and tailored to meet your individual needs. My experience and training is extremely diverse and I like to work in a manner that best addresses your learning style, belief system and treatment goals.
We will design your treatment plan together so that we are both invested in the work you do, and the manner in which you approach your treatment goals. My experience allows me to address your plan from various perspectives so that we can work in a manner that best addresses your needs, your values and your desires for treatment outcomes. Although I am adept with a “talking” approach to treatment, I also like to help you address your treatment issues from multiple perspectives and techniques for the best possible outcome.
I will frequently address your treatment with learning assignments to be completed between sessions at your own discretion. My goal is to help you take the work we do in the office into your everyday life. I love the work that I do, and I look forward to helping you achieve your deepest personal goals.
